This post is to bring a scam with regards to prepaid credit cards, this scam is the card there's the scam. These UPC code numbers do not appear on my receipt, the number that belonged to that code does appear on my receipt.
This post just wanted to bring a known scam or possibly an unknown scam but at least known to me with regards to prepaid credit cards. I purchased these two cards among quite a few cards for my employees, and unfortunately, it's such an embarrassing situation whereas I got scammed, and unfortunately, I'm not saying that they actually scammed me, but I actually bought all these cards from Walmart, Walmart Canada that is. There's the scanning code, the UPC code, here's the number 1296882540, if you can actually verify the numbers, however, what I found out this scam is the card there's the scam. So what these guys are doing or whomever it is?
These packages were nicely sealed or at least I should see professionally sealed, there it is. They're printing UPC codes that do not belong to the actual card numbers, the UPC codes are definitely totally different as you can see, the lines don't mark up, so the UPC code here does not match the actual numbers. These are the numbers that are supposed to appear on your receipt, however, those are not the numbers that actually appeared on my receipt. The numbers that repeat appeared on my receipt is the number that belonged to this UPC code, that is not mentioned anywhere on the card.
So I've lost $250 plus the fees for this card, I also lost $250 plus fees on this card, also because once again the scammers actually scammed by placing that UPC code above, now I also had a $100 gift card, not from visa but from MasterCard that was all purchased at the same time among many other cards that I purchased for my employees. They did not have such a great Christmas, and I will come and see them accordingly, however, I do hope that Walmart will finally compensate me or at least this will bring some attention to Walmart.
I will be physically visiting in the store, I do not want to disclose which one of the stores, I will be this visiting their store tomorrow and I will be following up with another post. I will go to the stand, I will identify other cards that are sitting there on the shelf with fake UPC codes attached in the window, and I do hope that they get the possibly the police involved, and at the same time I do hope I get a refund at least for these two cards that I actually have the fake UPC codes for. The way these cameras are doing it there I guess they're creating the UPC code that belonged to a totally different card, the moment they find a balance and the card they go spend it, so I can imagine, I can just imagine like how many millions of dollars that was actually scammed within the last few weeks, unfortunately, I got hit 250 plus 250 plus another 100 and also the fees. So be aware I will be tagging Walmart to this, I will also be tagging vanilla visa to this post once I post it on Facebook, and I do hope I get some traction. Please be aware make certain that the number which as you can see matches there the five four zero, make certain that that number actually reappears on your receipt itself. These numbers do not appear on my receipt, the number that belonged to that code does appear on my receipt.
